why do we fix a nail in a wooden plank at pointed and not a flat end.​

it is to fix through pointed end and because it has less surface area and force exerted by us will produce more pressure.

because when we fix nail from pointed end ....we need to do less force ...and it's easy for us ..while when we fix it from flat end ..it's get difficult...
