The epidermal peel is generally taken from the lower surface of the leaf because; the lower surface of the leaf has more number of stomata than the upper surface

The epidermal peel is generally taken from the lower surface of the leaf because; the lower surface of the leaf has more number of stomata than the upper surface. ... So in order to reduce the rate of transpiration, the upper surface has less number of stomata than the lower epidermal surface.
