Why do we get blue flames for stove and yellowing orange flames when we burn wood

If the gas burns completely it produces Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and water vapor and hence blue flames are formed.
But when it does not burn completely it produces Carbon Mono-oxide (CO) and burns with a yellow or orange color. This happens when the burning gas does not get enough air. The same happens when wood is burnt.
So now, if you see blue coloured flames in your stove you know that it is safe since the less harmful CO2 gas is produced.
And , if you see yellowish orange flames in your stove, Beware! Since your gas stove's improper combustion may emit unsafe levels of CO gas.
Hope this helps
