or melanin protein is less

as we get older,the pigments cells in our hair follicles gradullay die.when there are fewer pigment cells in a hair follicle ,that strand of hair will no longer contain as much melanin and will become a more transparent color-like silver,gold,white....as it goes......people can get grey hair at any age..
