sometimes hiccups occur because of the disturbance to the nerve pathways from the brain to the muscles involved . most hiccups occur after eating or drinking too much very quicky

hiccups are burst of inspiratory breathing in activity. the muscles we use when we take in a breath are interstitial muscles situated between the ribs and the diaphragm, a sheet of muscles below the lungs . most cases come after eating or drinking to much quickly.
