Answer:
When we consume carbohydrate in a meal, it is broken down by several enzymes into glucose. After receiving glucose in the blood stream, insulin is produced to maintain the blood sugar level and absorb glucose.
Once glucose is absorbed in the cell, by the help of aerobic metabolism, mitochondria takes help of oxygen to burn down glucose into Adenosine tri phosphate (ATP) which is the main source of energy in our body.

We get instant energy from glucose because glucose gets absorbed in the blood hence, glucose gives instant energy.
Explanation:
- Glucose is the main sugar found in our blood.
- It is easily absorbed by the blood whereas other carbohydrates are first broken down into glucose and then absorbed; hence, glucose gives instant energy.
- It is a simple sugar which can be readily absorbed by the body.
- There is no need for glucose to be processed by the digestive system for energy.
- Bloodstream and all cells directly absorbs.
- Then glucose undergoes oxidation, and then release ATP, a high-energy molecule that provides energy for the cell.
