Whenever benzene is treated with 1 chloropropane we get isopropyl benzene the reason behind is n-propyl Benzene is the minor product where as cummene is the major product in the mechanism. At the very first step in Drupal Carbo cation is formed because of the alkylating agent that is the Lewis acid and and the primary face the stability also gets shifted because of the isopropyl cation.
