sometimes a person may develops after a vigorous exercise due to anaerobic respiration in his or her muscles cells because exercise requires more energy but the supply of oxygen remain same . This leads to a despiration of lactic acid which causes cramps

straight ans is because lack of oxygen,
when we do physical exercise we need lot of energy for energy we need lot of oxygen but when we are doing exercise we can't give needed oxygen to the mitochondria to produce energy but even mitochondria produce energy by using anaerobic reaction in which lactic acid produce bu the we get cramps, bathing with hot water we can reduce them because blood flow increases because of temperature increase in body
