The Earth is extremely huge. Even the thin outer crust is about 3-5 kms thick (8 miles). There is no machine to drill a very deep hole into the interior of the Earth. It gets hotter as we dig deeper. So we have little knowledge about the interior of the Earth as it several thousands of miles thick.
