We need reservations for minorities to protect them from discrimination and majoritarianism. As we know Minorities are comparatively less is number than majorities and if they will not get reservations, then majority will be developed by getting jobs,

Reservation is also provided to safeguard minorities from communalism.

No doubt minority can do well without reservation but reservations are needed for their betterment.
