Because Steel absorbs more heat than Glass..
When you are sipping tea from a steel cup, you tend to feel extra heat because of the tip of the cup getting heated too as tea touches it.. It makes it difficult and in turn you will be afraid, or you will think twice and wait some time before sipping the tea as your lips may get burnt, where as in a glass cup, you do not have to worry about that. All you have to do is to make sure the tea is as hot according to your taste and enjoy it..
