Why do we know much more about the culture practices of rulers than about those of ordinary people?
Answers
Answer :
We all know much about the cultural practices of rulers than those of ordinary people due to following reasons and factors :
(i) All cultural people and artist like painters, musician, dancers, sculpture, man of literature, story tellers, history writer etc. were patronised by the rulers, big Zamindars, feudal lords etc.
(ii) Artist could not afford all expenses themselves. They had interest only in those persons who were able to make them payment and work in a position to praise their works in the counts or in big gathering.
(iii) Generally common people were not themselves interested in the problems of laymen and women.
(iv) Remember that ordinary women and men painted as well as pots, walls, floors, cloth - works of art that have occasionally survived, unlike the miniatures that were carefully preserved in palaces for centuries.

We know more about the cultural practices of rulers than about those of ordinary people because of the following reasons:
♠Only rulers could afford minstrels and historians for records and documentation.
♠They could preserve their records at their palaces.
♠Ordinary people used to struggle to earn their livelihood and they don’t know how to read and write.
♠Ordinary people did not have resources or wealth to preserve their memories and cultural practices.
