A Constitution helps serve as a set of rules and principles that all persons in a country can agree upon as the basis of the way in which they want the country to be governed.

There is no one person who has written the Constitution of India. Normally, the credit for drafting theConstitution is given to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar as he was the Chairman of the Drafting Committee of the Constituent Assembly.

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar

The lengthiest Constitution in the world
Parliamentary form of Government.
Unique blend of rigidity and flexibility.
Fundamental Rights.
Directive Principles of State policy (DPSP)
A federation with strong centralising tendency.
Adult Suffrage.
An Independent Judiciary.
