The Parliament of India has the following roles-

Legislative role - The primary function of Parliament is to make laws for the governance of the country,
Executive role- Parliament exercises control over the executive for its policies through zero hours, question hour, no-confidence motion. Also, the ministers are collectively responsible to the Parliament in general. This means they remain in power as long as they enjoy the majority in Lok Sabha.

Financial- The parliament passes the budget and other financial bills. It also scrutinizes government spending and financial performance through various committees.
Parliament is the legal body which makes laws which affect its country.
Judicial role- It can impeach the President for violation of the Constitution, can remove the Vice-President and can also recommend removal of judges.
