Parliament is the legislative body of government .

The Parliament of India has the following roles-

Legislative role - The primary function of Parliament is to make laws for the governance of the country

Executive role- Parliament exercises control over the executive for its policies through zero hour, question hour, no confidence motion. Also, the ministers are collectively responsible to the Parliament in general. This means they remain in power as long as they enjoy the majority in Lok Sabha.

Financial- The parliament passes the budget and other financial bills. It also scrutinizes government spending and financial performance through various committees.

Constituent Role- If any change is to be made in the constitution, then the parliament only is responsible for passing an amendment bill.

Judicial role- It can impeach the President for violation of the Constitution , can remove the Vice-President and can also recommend removal of judges.

Electoral role- It elects the President and the Vice-President.

hope it helps

Parliament consist of president, lok sabha and Rajya sabha

it means the power is divided in many hands...this is very advantageous as there is not one ruler like in monarchy

Parliament is very important for us

1)it control our whole country and take decision in favor of country

2)The representatives represent the citizens and take all the decisions as all the citizens cannot sit together and take decision bcoz it is physically impossible

3)It makes the laws
