Here is the answer . Political parties are important becayse they perform the following task

1. Political parties contest elections.

2.Create and follow policies and programmes.

3. Make the law through their trained executives.

4. Former and run the government  .

5. Take up the role of opposition.

6. Shape public opinion through movements.

7. Give access to schemes of the government.

8. If political parties are not there , individuals whole contest elections and no one will be responsible for the running of thecountry as a whole.

9. If political parties do not exist no organisation can perform the job of collecting different views on an issue and presenting to the government.
