The universal answer to the need for religion is it supports the human need for belonging or acceptance through a specific system of beliefs and worship, often involving a code of ethics or philosophy that stimulates discipline, self-worth and peace of mind or comfort in time of overcoming the stresses of life.

To me religion is simply a relationship with God that offers me the opportunity to be forgiven for my sins (evil behavior) and gives me the instructions through his word (The Bible) to live by, to see for myself if my life will be better or worse without God’s principles. As a Christian we use the term “born again” which just simply means I have a new perspective on looking at life and dealing with life issues. The core of all religious beliefs is based on ethical principle in how to cope with life that is pleasing to God or whom ever you worship as well other human beings.

Last but not least, religion serves as a life insurance policy. One of the biggest debates about religion is what if there is no God, that’s why some people worship idols. No matter what we call it, we all know there is something greater than ourselves that keeps nature, the universe, galaxies and the earth all working together where one is not destroying the other, no human has that much intellect or power, that's why my faith is in God!

Hello friend! Here is the answer.

First of all, religion is not needed it CREATED AND SUPPOSED TO BE MAINTAINED...

Earlier it was differentiated to know the people by their place, language, lifestyle, etc and ahead it was maintained for the mental satisfaction by prayers and meditations and now it is followed by numerous reasons which valid and some are like NOT ACTUALLY NEEDED!

I hope this will help you. Thank you.
