Now to answer the question why we need Representative Democracy, as India is a country which has 1.25 billion population it would be chaos and mess we start using direct democracy wherein we are conducting election to pass each bill/reform or any new policy which needs to be effected.
That’s the reason we have representative democracy where we chose our representatives whom we enlist the responsibility to take those decision on our behalf.

Because it would be really difficult for the ordinary people to take out time and give their skill and knowledge to this , that's why we need to representative to manage ourselves and also we do not know what is good and what is wrong for us that's why we need the representative.
