Independence of Judiciary is important because it maintains checks and balance. It is vitally important in a democracy that individual judges and the judiciary as a whole are impartial and independent of all external pressures and of each other so that those who appear before them and the wider public can have confidence that their cases will be decided fairly and in accordance with the law.

The Independence of Judiciary is required because:
- As we know that people come to the court for getting equal right if any has been broken.
- So,if that judiciary system is corrupt then, nobody ever can get equal right
- If the judiciary isn't a free or an independent body and is working by getting huge loads of money from big party leaders,no citizen ever would be gaining equal right .
- The judiciary is made to use it impartial decision to get other citizen getting equal right and not being captured under the power of any big political leader.
