Why do we need constitution?

A constitution is a written , legal documents , which lays out some basic guidelines for the people of a country to abide by . The Indian Constitution is the longest constitution , with 448 articles , it includes almost all the humanely aspects of life .
1. Making of a constitution for a huge amd diverse country like India was not an easy task as at that time , the people of India were emerging from the states of a subject to citizens .
2. The country was born through a partition on the basis of religious differences .
3. The British had left it to the rulers of the princely states , to decide whether they wanted to merge with India or with Pakistan or remain Independent .
4 .When the constitution of India was being written , the future of the country didn't look as secure as it does now .
We need a constitution because :
1. It generates a degree of trust and generates coordination that is necessary for different kinds of people to live together .
2. It specifies how government will be constituted , who will have power to take which decisions .
3. It lays down limits on the powers of the government and tells us what the rights of the citizens are .
4. It expresses the aspirations of the people about creating a good society .
5. Moreover , it shows the fundamental and political nature of a country and also lays down certain guidelines for the citizens to follow .
6. The constitution provides safeguard to all the people by ensuring , " Right to Constitutional Remedies " .
All the above mentioned reasons are highly essential in any democracy , as it is the most accountable form of government , and so our constitution is a must for us to abide by because we are not made for our constitution , the constitution is made for us . Abiding by the constitution will help in the betterment of ours only .
