Why do we need regularly food items vitamin c that those rich in vitamin D

  • We need food items like oranges, lemons, citrus fruits, green vegetables, potatoes and tomatoes which are rich in vitamin C for preventing scurvy. Vitamin C helps to bond cells together and also helps in the use of calcium by bones and teeth.
  • We need food items like milk, butter, eggs, fish liver oil which are rich in vitamin D to prevent rickets. Vitamin D helps the body to absorb calcium from food, and helps in forming strong bones and teeth.
