We need reserved constituencies in India :
(a) To enable the Scheduled Castes and Tribes for their active participation.'Without reservation they never get an opportunity to win an election.
(b) To provide a chance to vocalise their needs, aspirations and improve their conditions.
(c) To ensure political participation otherwise our parliament would fail to be representative of a large section of our population.
(d) In another way reserved constituency is likely to ensure powersharing among the social groups and protect the dignity of the individual.
