1- It has enormous diversity in availability of resources. For example the states of Jharkhand,Chattisgarh and M.P are rich in minerals and coal deposits.

2- These are reagions which are rich in certain types of resources but are deficient in other types of resources

3- There are some reagions which are self sufficient in terms of availability of resources and these are some resoures which have acute shortage of some vital resources .Example the state of Rajasthan is very well endowed with solar and wind energy but lacks in water resources.

3- The cold desert of Ladakh is relatively isolated from the rest of the country. It has very rich cultural heritage but water, infrastructural, and some vital minerals ...
