For the following reasons we need to protect the rights of minorities:
1. To guard them against the plausibility of being culturally controlled by the majority.
2. To defend them facing any discrimination and loss.
3. So that they do not feel anxious about their lives, property, and welfare.
Therefore, the constitution of India has provisions for safeguarding the minorities as it is necessary to protect the cultural diversity of India and promoting justice and equality.
