why do we need special methods to prepare iyophobic colloidal???
Answers
Answer:
Explanation:
Lyophobic colloids are liquid hating colloids (Lyo means solvent and phobic means hating). When these colloids are mixed with the suitable liquid, a very weak force of attraction exists between colloidal particles and liquid and system does not pass into colloidal state readily.

Answer:
Hydrophilic or Lyophobic colloidal solutions can be prepared by various chemical techniques such as: Double Decomposition Technique: When hydrogen sulphide is passed through a solution of arsenious oxide in distilled water, we get a colloidal solution of arsenious chloride.
For example, Only heating with water in enough for preparing the sols of starch, gelatin, gum arabic etc. But it is not so easy to prepare the sols of lyophobic colloids practically as they have no affinity for the dispersion medium. Special methods are required for the preparation of lyophobic sols.
