The standard Meridian, from which time and geographical location of a country is calculated is the most important longitude of a country.

Latitudes and Longitudes which are also known as the Geographical coordinates, play an important role in fixing local time and navigation. With the geographic coordinates, one can perfectly pinpoint a location in any part of the world using a reference location.

Usually, Greenwich prime Meridian is used as a reference location to locate any geographical coordinates across the world and calculate time of any country. Greenwich, perfectly divided the earth into equal parts and became the point of reference to calculate time and location.

There are four standards that are used to represent the geographical coordinates. They are

  • Simple Decimal Standard
  • Decimal Degrees
