why do we need the cardinal points and the north line?

They are needed to identify and find the specific place around the globe. They provide directions and guideline in finding the specific place....

 Four cardinal points ( known as  four directions also    East , west , north & south ) & a north line to find our proper range & bearing ( in common language we can say distance & angle  from destination ).

We need four cardinal points ( known as four directions also East , west , north & south ) & a north line to find our proper range & bearing ( in common language we can say distance & angle from destination ). otherwise people can lost there way in difficult weather conditions & in no men area.
that's why in all maps we always saw North up & angles .
