1. Minerals are vital for the development & progress of a country.
2. Irrational use may lead to socio-economic problems.
3. minerals are limited in nature.
4. over exploitation of minerals has reduced the amount of minerals.
5. they are non renewable.
6. minerals are the exhaustable resource.
7. they cannot be reproduced or regenerated again & again.
8. minerals are not only for the present generation but we should meet the needs for future generation also so minerals should be conserved
hope it helpz u.. :) :)

1. Insignificant fraction- The total amount of the usable minerals consists just about 1 per cent of the earth's crust and that too are unevenly distributed.
2.Slow rate of formation- Mineral resources requires millions of years to be formed but we are rapidly consuming them. The geological processes of mineral formation are so slow that the rates of replenishment are infinitely small as compared to the present rate of consumption. So, the mineral resources are non-renewable
3.Increasing costs- The rich mineral deposits are extremely valuable. Also, continued extraction of ores lead to increasing costs as extraction comes from greater depths which also leads to decrease in quality; these higher cost of minerals can't be afforded by everyone.
4.Impact on environment- Over use of minerals especially the non renewable mineral leads to environmental pollution.
5. Future generations- We also need to use the mineral resources judiciously keeping in minds the needs of the future generations
Hope it helps you :-)
