Hi
Here devil1407
$Mineral resources are limited.
$It takes million of years for their formation and therefore, these resources are non-renewable and non-replenishable.
$Increasing consumption and continued extraction of ores lead to increasing costs of extraction and a sharp decrease in their quality and quantity.
$So, it is most important for us to conserve mineral resources as it is feared that with this rate of consumption the day is not far away when most of the metallic and non-metallic mineral reserves and fossil fuel deposits will be fully exhausted.
Hope it helps U

Answer
(1) Mineral resources are basic requirement for economic development.
(2) Every sector of the national economy— agriculture, industry, transport, commercial and domestic — needs inputs of mineral resources.
(3) The economic development plans implemented since independence necessarily required increasing amounts of minerals to remain operational.
As a result, consumption of minerals in all forms has been steadily rising all over the country and we need to conserve it for the future.
