Answer:
When I was in 10th , I studied political history of the United States, UK, China, France, Greece and India. There are reasons why the history of these countries is taught in my political subjects.
From my personal experience, whenever I studied the history of any country and tried to understand about who they are and how they went through different stages of history to become what they are today. It makes things much clearer about their present make up of their culture and society.
It made me see things ‘as they are’ in different cultures without judging them from own standards. There are also some pitfalls in reading the history of various countries because human mind always looks for patterns and generalisations. It is not necessary that two societies will go down to the same path if they led by the same example.
It is unique, and learning experience about studying different countries about their progress or decay which help to gain insight deeper into your own social conditions and things become more about your own country that why things are this way.
