We need to obtain pure metals because metals are the elements with shiny and luster surface. They are good conductors of heat.

  In nature, they are normally found as minerals that are metallic compounds. These metallic compounds have many impurities.

  The impurities affects the chemical and physical properties of metal so we need to purify them after conversion of minerals to metal.  

  Metals its solid state have low strength and good ductility.
