why do we need to store silk in fabric like cotton

Cotton and silk are natural fibres and are hence delicate, thus storing them in extreme temperatures or fluctuating temperatures must be avoided. If stored in too much fluctuating temperatures, then there are chances of fabric thread breaking up or getting brittle.
