Silver bromide reacts to light (the halide salts of silver are used in photographic emulsions) the colored bottles stop the light getting to the chemical and spoiling it. as it is photolytic ,if it is stored in other bottles it gets decomposed and forms silver and bromine.so it is stored in dark bottles.
