Why do we need to store water fot irrigation?

Because rain water is a natural occurrence i.e its seasonal and irregular thus by stoting water we avoid conditions like drought and water scarcity by irrigating the fields with the stored water in dry season.

bcoz irrigation provides water to the crops through which the crops perform photosynthesis and prepare food for themselves to survive. and if they will survive it will be beneficial for us bcoz
plants or crops provide us livelihood materials directly or indirectly

and we can't be dependent on rain for irrigation because it is seasonal and also we cannot make sure that the rain will occur or not...
