Why do we not feel the pressure exerted by the air around us

Actually our shoulders bear the pressure of a big elephant which is approx. equal to one tonne but we do not get crushed as our body e.g. lungs has the same atmospheric pressure outside the body.

we cannot feel the pressure exerted by a air on the ground level because pressure exerted more energy in air.
