This is because the process of DNA copying is not completely efficient. Due to some variations in DNA copying, the offspring is never completely alike the parents. Also, the presence of combinations of dominant and recessive traits may make us resemble some other blood-related member of the family.

we don't look exactly same as our parents because we carry genes from both father and mother
we get half from father n half from father
Thats why some of our relative says that you have face like your fathe and eyes like your mother
that's why we don't look eactly same as one or both of our parents..
