Coal, as a fossil fuel and alternative source of energy, is depleting at a tremendous rate. There are about 150-200 years of coal left on earth.
If everyone starts using coal as a cooking fuel, the whole of the world's coal reserve will be over within a matter of a few months!!
That's why we dont use coal as a cooking fuel.

We do not use coal as a cooking fuel because LPG is a far-far better fuel then coal. When coal is burnt it does gets burnt completely thus have less calorific fuel and it also leaves ashes. While on other hand LPG almost burns completely and has higher calorific value and is even lesser pollution causing as compared to coal.
