because it can give us a electric shock.................... As our body is also a good conductor of electricity if it comes in contact of naked wire the circuit gets complete and we can receive a electrical shock So I t is in necessary to wind an insulated material on it

Copper is a good conductor.  So it is used for transmission of electric current in domestic appliances, for power transmission or in industries.  Often the voltage is 230V, which is dangerous to the human body.

In case a copper wire carries current, accidentally touching its surface will leak high current through the person.  It gives shocks and may kill a person too.

In appliances, if the current carrying wire gets in direct contact with any metal or water, then the current will leak, and short circuits may happen.  The appliances will get damaged.  Then power supply circuits gets broken and so people will be inconvenienced.

There is always a magnetic field outside a current carrying wire.  Whether the wire is insulated or not, the magnetic field is always present.  Usually this is not very high for domestic appliances.
