Why do we not wait for the silk moth to hatch and why are the cocoons boiled in hot water or treated in oceans

we don't wait up to that because if the moth will hatch and comes out then it will break the cocoons and in this way the parts of cotton will break and we would not be able to get desired cotton or long belt of cotton and thus we do so .

because if it will hatch and then we will boil it so it will break the silk fibres and desirable silk fibre would not be obtained from it.
