see it's very simple

the magnet which we use is a permanent magnet it can make problems while operating

but the reason behind using electromagnet is that we can control the magnet it is a temporary magnet so we can turn it to a magnet anytime we want

we can control the magnetic force by increasing or decreasing the current

thats why we prefer electro magnet

see if you are working on a junk yard the you have to use a magnetic crane for work

if the magnet is permanent then all the metal objects will stick to it so it will be difficult

but if the magnet is temporary then u can easily remove the metal
