Why do we prefer to use a stearing wheel with a long arm?

As we know that moment of force i.e.
Torque =Force *Perpendicular distance between the point of application of force n line of action of force, longer is the arm lesser amount of force will have to be applied to produce same amount of torque (turning effect) Hence we prefer a stearing wheel with a longer arm to turn it efficiently n quickly with less amount of force
