why do we prefer to use glass utensils to how old is rather than using metal utensils

Mostly , Glass utensils are prefered rather than metal utensils for preserving food as there is possibility for reaction of metal in metal utensils with food contained in it which might make food unconsumable.
Hence it advisable to use glass utensils rather than metal utensils
