Any substance is said to be fluid if it have tendency to flow…. So both liquids as well as gases have that tendency…… as there is intermolecular distance between the atoms of liquids ND gases due to which they can flow

Explanation:

While regarding liquid and gases, we consider it as fluids because the attraction force for liquids and gases are very less or may be negligible and having large inter molecular spaces.

So, they may flow in all directions. The fluid also has the same nature. Fluidity happens due to the reason that the “force of attraction” between molecules is small.

Liquid and gas can’t stop at any place, the gas particles collides with each other vigorously and it provides flowing ability which happens in the liquid case. In the phase of gas, the forces of molecules are weak.
