Explanation:
However, if we take a look at our own prayers, we will find that some of us usually pray to the Lord like this, “Lord! My family is experiencing difficulties. I ask You to keep my family peaceful.” “Lord! I’m sick, but I believe You will definitely cure my illness.” “Lord! Things don’t go smoothly in my career, but I believe You will certainly protect me and bless me….” “Lord! Since I ask this way, You will surely fulfill my prayer….” In our prayers, we always use words like “ask,” “certainly,” and “surely” to force God to bless us and to arrange this or prepare that for us. Before we pray to God, we have already determined to ask Him to do things according to our own will. We don’t have a reverent heart before the Creator, nor do we have any reason, much less a seeking or obedient heart. This kind of prayer is actually not in line with God’s will.
God is the Creator and we humans are created beings, so we should have reason and maintain an attitude of seeking and obedience when we pray to God.

- Previously, a trader was walking to a neighbouring village to sell his products. He was worn out from the eight-hour travel and was perspiring profusely. He considered pausing for a moment before continuing. Unaware that the nearby tree was the fabled "Kalpavriksha," the wish-fulfilling tree from Hindu mythology, he sat down in its shade.
- He started to consider what a great delight it would be to simply lie down on a plush bed. The tree offered him a comfortable, golden, opulent bed as soon as it sensed his inner desires. The discovery of the bed next to him shocked the merchant. He relaxed and spread his body out while lying down.
- He now reflected on how nice it would be for a young violinist to play him; it would calm his mind. As soon as he wished for it, a stunning woman playing a violin was standing by his side. Unbelievably happy, the shopkeeper exclaimed. He was puzzled by the idea of how anything he was hoping for was coming true. His eyes were so unbelievable. He made the choice to put this to one last test. In the meantime, he was hungry and thirsty and thought, "I have everything I wanted; how nice it would be if I obtain some wine and food." Instantaneously, a table filled with exquisite foods and pricey wine appeared in front of him.
- He immediately sprang over the table and started gobbling
- Following a filling lunch, he returned to his bed. He started to worry as he lay down, "I am all alone in this jungle, what if a tiger should suddenly attack me!" A tiger suddenly materialised out of thin air and pounced on him. Before he knew what was happening, the tiger had already started tearing off his flesh and consuming his blood. The merchant ultimately passed away.
- One may undoubtedly receive some of the worldly pleasures they seek for if they pray to God for them, but there is always a tiger lurking in the shadows. These tigers—in the shape of illness, pain, loss of honour and wealth, etc.—are a thousand times more terrifying than tigers in the wild.
