why do we salivate during a nap in daytime?

This is called drooling.

Sometimes a person may have breathing problems through nose face this.They breath through their mouth and hence they drool.

Respiratory infections , mental disorder are also reasons.

Sometimes when a person rolls to one side and sleeps with his/her mouth slightly open, then also drooling takes place.
