Why do we say cut as कट and put as पुट we may say put as पट Answer Me​

in cut cut and in put it's put .u wanna learn phonics for that and if hear it in UK English then it's puh tuh while cut cuh tuh it's the u pronounce it . mostly in INDIA we do such pronunciation
