at sunrise and sunset we see sun red as light has to travel a longer distance to reach our eye.And as red light has longest wavelength, it is scattered the least and so the sun appears red.
At noon,the sun is directly overhead and light has to travel minimum distance to reach us....so min scattering takes place for all colours of light and so they reach our eyes as white colour..
