Moon spins on its own axis and also revolves around its planet Earth. This rate is similar which is termed as tidal locking or synchronous rotation. Hence, it has only one side facing the Earth at a time.

Moon has a rotation span of 4 weeks. The tisal locks of the moon cause high tides and low tides effects on the oceans. Moon has a pull on the gravity of the Earth, hence the water has the tidal variations on the surface of the Earth.

Ans : We see only one side of the moon always because of the following reasons:

● The moon revolves round the earth in 27 days.

● It spins on its axis exactly in 27 days.

● Hence the place on the moon corresponds to the earth always. because of these reasons we see only one side of the moon always.
