Why do we see the sky in reddish color during sunset?

During the sunset period, the sun is close to the horizon. The light rays from the sun are to pass through many layers of atmosphere containing particles. When the sun rays pass through them, after scattering, only the rays with highest wavelength are able to reach the ground, which is red. The other rays are blocked by the particles present in atmosphere. Hence we see the sunset as red in color.

It is because dispersion of light snd wavelengt varying to different colours.The wavelength of red is the minimum i.e near to 400nm therefore when from the horizon of during a sunset or sunrise the red travels the max distance and scatters
