Why do we see wooden bells in temple? give reasons

1.in buddhist monastries,wooden bells or semantron are used which comprises wooden plank and mallet.
2.it is used during prayer session.
3.s krabalai which is a Lithuanian wooden instrument comprising of wooden bells are used.

i think  i didn't seen wooden bell in the temple ..

metal bells is seen in many temples and  the bell is used to give sound for keeping evil forces away and the ring of the bell is pleasant to God.
